Dreamsway ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI Video Generator mobile application ("App"). Please read this policy carefully.

By using our App, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our App.

Information We Collect

1. Account & Authentication Information

When you use our App, we collect:

• Device Identifier: A hashed (SHA-256) identifier derived from your device information. We do not store raw device IDs—only a one-way hash for authentication purposes.
• Approximate Location: City and country derived from your IP address during initial setup. This is used for account creation and is not precise GPS location.
• Account Data: If you create an account, we may store: user ID, display name, profile photo URL, and authentication provider. We do not collect email addresses.

2. Content You Create

• Images: Photos you select from your device for AI video or image generation. These are uploaded to our servers and processed by AI services.
• Audio URLs: If you enable audio generation and provide a custom audio URL (e.g., a link to music or sound effects), we transmit that URL to our AI processing service to generate videos with audio.
• Generated Content: AI-generated videos and images created through our App. We store these to display your creations and enable sharing/saving.

3. Usage & Technical Data

• Features used, screens viewed, and interactions within the App
• Device type, operating system, app version
• Network connection status

4. Payment & Subscription Information

Records of credit purchases and subscription status. Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Play Store). We do not store your full payment card details. RevenueCat assists with subscription management.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the App: Authenticate you, process AI generations, and deliver features
• Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns to fix bugs and enhance user experience
• Process Payments: Manage subscriptions and credit purchases via App Store/Play Store
• Show Ads: Display relevant advertisements to free users (subscribers get ad-free experience)
• Comply with Law: Meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

Our mobile app and backend services may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and analyze usage. Here's what you should know:

What We Use

• Essential Cookies: Authentication tokens and session data stored securely on your device to keep you logged in and maintain app functionality.
• Analytics: We collect usage data (features used, screens viewed, app performance) to improve the App. This data is aggregated and anonymized where possible.
• Advertising Cookies (Free Users Only): Google AdMob may use advertising identifiers and cookies to show relevant ads. Subscribers do not receive ads and are not subject to advertising tracking.

Your Control

• Opt Out of Personalized Ads: You can limit ad tracking through your device settings:
  • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
  • Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
• Remove Ads Entirely: Subscribe to our premium plan for an ad-free experience with no advertising tracking.
• Essential Cookies: These cannot be disabled as they are necessary for the App to function (authentication, preferences). Disabling them would prevent you from using the App.

Data Storage & Security

We use your device's secure storage for authentication tokens and preferences. Account data, generated content, and usage data are stored on our backend (api.softfinite.com) with industry-standard security measures. We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.

Data Retention Policy

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. Our retention periods vary based on data type:

• Account Data: Retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your account data within 30 days, except where we must retain it for legal or regulatory compliance.
• Generated Content (Videos & Images): Stored indefinitely while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
• Payment & Transaction Records: Retained for 7 years to comply with financial regulations and tax requirements.
• Usage & Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for analytics. Identifiable usage data is retained for up to 2 years.
• Inactive Accounts: If your account remains inactive (no login) for 3 years, we may delete your account and associated data after notifying you via in-app notification.

To request deletion of your account and data at any time, visit our Delete Account & Data page or contact us through the App's Settings > Support.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers (hosting, analytics, payments, AI processing) under strict agreements, and when required by law or in connection with a business transfer.

Your Rights & Choices

Automated Decision-Making: We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significantly affects you. AI content generation is based on your explicit inputs and does not constitute automated decision-making under GDPR.

California Users: You have rights under the CCPA. We do not sell personal information.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards when transferring data internationally.

EU Geo-blocking Regulation Compliance

If you are accessing our App from the European Union, we comply with the Geo-blocking Regulation (EU) 2018/302. This means:

• Non-discriminatory Access: We do not block or restrict access to our App based on your nationality, place of residence, or place of establishment within the EU.
• Equal Treatment: EU users have access to the same features, pricing, and payment methods regardless of their EU member state location.
• No Unjustified Geo-blocking: We do not apply different general conditions of access to our services based solely on your location within the EU, unless such differences are justified by objective criteria.
• Payment Methods: We accept payments through Apple App Store and Google Play Store, which support various EU payment methods without discrimination based on your EU location.

While we strive to provide equal access across the EU, certain features or content may be unavailable in specific regions due to technical limitations, legal requirements, or third-party service availability. Any such restrictions are based on legitimate, objective reasons and not on discriminatory geo-blocking practices.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
